After harvest, an area of the field was designated for seed and the leaves of these plants were not harvested again. Now the Persicaria tinctoria plants are in full bloom ranging from white to pink. In a few weeks we will harvest the dried flower shafts which held the seed and will carefully hand pick and clean the seeds to get the best germination rate for next year.
